Our 8th graders use calculators when they work on algebra. The calculators are extremely beneficial for this class to tackle difficult concepts without getting bogged down in the small calculations. Often when students are learning to be organized with their equations and follow several steps to complete one problem, they can become overwhelmed when they have to complete all the minor calculations themselves. With the help from a device like a calculator, students are able to focus more easily on the big picture.Thank you so much for giving my students this gift. Your generosity is unbelievably kind.
