The resources purchased with your generous gift have allowed me to expand my counseling lessons and provide students with engaging activities that connect to their current experiences while helping them prepare for what comes next.\r\n\r\nCollege & Career Readiness\r\n\r\nThe college and career resources have given me new ways to help students explore their interests, strengths, skills, and future possibilities. Through interactive lessons and activities, students are learning about different educational pathways, careers, goal setting, and the steps they can begin taking now to prepare for high school and beyond.\r\n\r\nCollege of the Week\r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting ways I am using these resources is through our College of the Week program. Students are introduced to a different college or university and learn about its programs, campus opportunities, admissions, and what makes each school unique. This gives students an opportunity to see that there are many different paths available to them after high school.\r\n\r\nBy introducing colleges to students at an early age, I hope to help make higher education feel familiar, accessible, and achievable.\r\n\r\nCareer of the Week\r\n\r\nThe donated materials have also supported our Career of the Week activities. Students explore a variety of careers and learn about the responsibilities, skills, education, and training associated with different professions.\r\n\r\nThese lessons have encouraged students to think beyond the careers they already know and discover new possibilities. Students are able to connect careers to their own interests and strengths and begin thinking about what they might enjoy doing in the future.\r\n\r\nSocial-Emotional Learning\r\n\r\nIn addition to college and career readiness, the resources have strengthened my social-emotional learning (SEL) lessons. Students participate in activities focused on topics such as growth mindset, recognizing strengths, managing emotions, building confidence, setting goals, making positive choices, and developing healthy relationships.\r\n\r\nThese skills are an important foundation for success in school and in life. Before students can confidently plan for their future, they need opportunities to understand themselves, recognize their strengths, and develop the skills to overcome challenges.\r\n\r\nMaking a Difference\r\n\r\nThe resources purchased with your donation have helped me create a more engaging and consistent counseling program for my students. As a virtual school counselor, having ready-to-use, visually appealing, and interactive materials is especially valuable. I am able to incorporate these resources into lessons, our Canvas counseling page, and activities that students can access throughout the school year.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has also allowed me to spend less time creating materials from scratch and more time focusing on what matters most—supporting students, building relationships, and helping them see the possibilities for their future.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, students are learning that their future is filled with possibilities. My goal is not for students to have their entire future planned out, but to help them become curious, confident, and informed about the many possibilities available to them.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has also saved valuable planning time. Rather than creating every lesson and activity from scratch, I have been able to use educator-created resources and spend more time adapting them to meet the needs of my virtual students. This allows me to focus more of my time on connecting with students, providing individual support, and creating meaningful counseling experiences.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, students are not only learning about colleges and careers—they are beginning to see themselves as capable of pursuing their own goals and dreams.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in my students and their futures.
