My students have been enjoying the calming effects of the light covers and have told me that they like seeing the sky when they come to my class. It definitely has reduced the glare from the intensity of the light fixtures and have given us a more subdued, yet pleasant effect.\r\n\r\nThe calming tent has been an area that is being used to acclimate my youngest special needs students to the music room. We have invited them to try out the space with the tactile manipulatives to create an inviting and safe area as other students are creating music. The hope is to allow them to become familiar with the louder environment while enjoying some explorative play. Eventually I hope they will be able to explore the music classroom as a class. We received the extension cords and now each keyboard is safely connected to a dedicated surge protector for the row it is in.
