They were so excited and enthusiastic. After I completed the lesson, I gave them the assignment, they were very surprised that they could use more than one or two of the materials I had set out on the back tables for them to choose from. \r\n\r\nFirst, they awwwed and oooed at the brightly colored poster boards. Then, they gathered their animals stickers to place on their board, along with getting their colored pencils. But mostly I valued seeing how each student had to plan and design their board before actually working on it. This 'engineering design' was what I most enjoyed!
