We have been using the Legos during center time and small-group activities to build structures, patterns, and simple designs while practicing important skills such as problem-solving, collaboration, and communication. One special moment was watching students work together to plan their builds, take turns, and proudly explain what they created using complete sentences.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the Legos, their excitement was immediate and genuine. Their faces lit up, and many eagerly shared stories about what they wanted to build. The materials instantly motivated even my quieter students to participate, helping them stay focused and engaged while learning through hands-on exploration.\r\n\r\nThese Legos will continue to be an important part of our classroom as we move into lessons focused on early math concepts, STEM exploration, and social-emotional learning. Students will use them to practice counting, sorting, building with purpose, and working cooperatively with peers. Because of you, my students have access to resources that make learning joyful, interactive, and meaningful. Thank you for giving my class this opportunity to grow and learn through play.","fullyFundedDate":1759257932883,"projectUrl":"project/legos-for-our-young-learners/9766785/","projectTitle":"Legos for Our Young Learners!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ramirez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9472202"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_79953","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":649,"numTeachers":24,"percentFrplEligible":54,"percentAsian":17,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":3,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":74,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"27.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":86.8,"schoolId":79953,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Fremont Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Fremont Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/alhambra-unified-school-district/fremont-elementary-school/79953"}
