They worked together to plan their designs, problem-solve challenges, and present their creations to the class. This project not only reinforced creativity and collaboration, but also helped students see how classroom supplies can support learning in meaningful, interactive ways.\r\n\r\nWith these resources, my classroom has become a more engaging and hands-on environment. It was wonderful to see them collaborate, problem-solve, and cheer each other on as they completed their first projects.\r\n\r\nOne particularly memorable moment was when a small group used marble mazes and paper circuits together to design a \"coding obstacle course.\" They sketched their ideas on poster boards, built the maze, and then programmed the steps needed to navigate it, combining logical sequencing with creative design. Students who are usually quiet in class became leaders in this project, explaining their reasoning and teaching peers how to approach the puzzles. These activities have reinforced teamwork, critical thinking, and creativity, all while making coding and STEM tangible and fun.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, students are planning to create their own interactive board games and challenge boxes that combine art and computer science principles. The first time they used the iPads and Apple Pencils, their excitement was contagious—they immediately began sketching characters, designing user interfaces, and experimenting with coding apps like Swift Playgrounds and Scratch.\r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting moments has been seeing students combine coding and art in projects like digital animations, original game designs, and multimedia presentations with sound effects and music. Students who were previously hesitant to try coding are now actively leading project teams, using headphones to focus while coding, and sticky notes to brainstorm and organize ideas. These tools have made lessons more interactive, creative, and meaningful, allowing students to see the connection between technology and artistic expression.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, my students are more confident, motivated, and empowered to explore, create, and succeed.
