The organization of being able to have students grab their notebook and it had a new prompt or study guide in it to help them during their music class has been incredible in creating independence. As students arrive in my class they are able to grab their notebook and start their prompt for the day. This has allowed a way to have students be engaged as soon as they come into the music room.\r\nThe new rug at the front of the classroom has been a point of intrigue for students! They are asking more questions about more advance music signs as we explore reading music. Even my younger students are eager to learn how to read the staff based on the rug's feature of the grand staff at the center. My upper grade levels are intrigued at the different rhythms that the advanced notes could create.
