Our sensory room has become a safe and calming space where students can take a break, regulate their emotions, and return to the classroom ready to learn.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the new materials, they were excited to explore everything and immediately wanted to try them out. It has been especially rewarding to see students who may become overwhelmed or overstimulated use the sensory resources to calm their bodies and regain focus. These materials give my students appropriate tools to communicate and meet their sensory needs while building independence.\r\n\r\nWe are continuing to incorporate the sensory room into our daily routines and individual behavior and regulation plans. This is our last week for bingo, and the kids are scrambling to earn another reward. I really started using Wayground (previously named Quizizz) during Covid lockdowns, and have always loved it. However, my appreciation has grown with the paid subscription. The premium subscription has opened many new benefits. The main benefit is having unlimited activity creation. Previously, I could only have 20 activities. That meant creating assessments, then deleting them in order to produce more. That is no longer a problem. \r\n\r\nAlso, Wayground now has a \"review and submit\" option. Students can review their answers to be sure they are correct before any grading takes place. Before, once students picked an answer, it was locked in-no changes. Creating assignments is super easy. I can create from scratch, upload a passage and questions, or simply have the AI tool create from my worksheet. My students now have loads of study material in a format that they enjoy. \r\n\r\nTo say your donation impacted my classroom is an understatement. We have loved working together to create \"secret buddies\" in grades lower than ours. With your help, our new printer allowed us to not only write letters using color pre- made templates, but it also created games and activities we could use to collaborate with our secret buddies!\r\n\r\nStudents worked with grade- level peers to create age-appropriate games they later used to play with younger students in 2nd and 3rd grade. It was a great review for my students to go back and learn blends, syllables, and many math skills they now see was imperative to get them where they are today. It helped solidify some of their own grade- level skills! This was especially true when creating place value games for the younger get grades. \r\n\r\nWithout having permission, we could jot , unfortunately, take pictures of our actual game day with the younger students. We were hoping to obtain permission slips for the students, but the permission slips did not go home. We have, however we, enclosed pictures of a days we worked in our class, creating these activities for the younger students. \r\n\r\nThank you again for providing us with the printer to give us color - filled activities we could use .
