Our students have spent this school year learning about Computer Science with unique and amazing activities. \r\n\r\nThey used the mice to help them create programs using block-based programming at the beginning of the year. Whether they were creating a digital doodle or their first game, they loved using their creativity and problem-solving skills to bring ideas to life! The moment they test their apps and see that their code works brings so much wonder to their eyes! It is a sight to behold. \r\n\r\nWe've recently jumped into the world of text-based coding using raspberry pi's and breadboards. They loved creating a reaction timer with LEDs and buttons. They used the supplies you provided to create several projects but the reaction timer was a class favorite. \r\n\r\nEven more exciting though, students asked if they could share their reaction timer with other students in our STEM Fair event we held on November 10th (World Science Day). Every student in our school came to our fair along with our superintendent and other administrators. Our students couldn't wait to share their skills with everyone! They spent time explaining how the technology and code worked. Of course, they also had to compete with each other to see who had the best reaction time! \r\n\r\nThey're extremely excited to move forward with their coding and programming experiences. They look forward to creating and expanding their knowledge using a more hands on approach to coding!","fullyFundedDate":1755608556739,"projectUrl":"project/coding-for-the-real-world/9512200/","projectTitle":"Coding for the Real World!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Simmons","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9878316"},{"teacherId":10022442,"projectId":9619014,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous contribution to our project. Because of you, my students have resources you provided that are already being put to great use—students are exploring coding with small robotics, designing 3D models, and experimenting with hands-on STEM projects that connect directly to what they are learning in class. One of our favorite moments so far was watching a group of middle schoolers design and test bridges out of everyday materials, cheering each other on as their structures held more weight than they expected. The pride on their faces was unforgettable.\r\n\r\nWhen our students first walked into the library and saw the new makerspace tools, their excitement was contagious. They immediately wanted to dive in, asking, \"Can we really build with this?\" and \"Do we get to try it today?\" For many of them, this was their first experience with these kinds of resources, and it has opened the door to new possibilities for learning and problem-solving. Students who are often hesitant to participate in traditional classroom activities have found their voice and confidence through hands-on exploration.\r\n\r\nThe next steps for our students are to build on these experiences with ongoing projects. For example, students will soon be creating interactive displays to showcase what they've made, and we plan to tie makerspace challenges into our reading curriculum—like designing inventions inspired by characters in their favorite books. Your gift didn't just provide supplies; it created opportunities for discovery, teamwork, and innovation that will continue to grow throughout the school year.","fullyFundedDate":1755531282361,"projectUrl":"project/imagination-station-crafting-coding-a/9619014/","projectTitle":"Imagination Station: Crafting, Coding, and Creating in the Library","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Smothers","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10022442_orig.jpg?crop=286,286,x46,y81&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1746987848999","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10022442"},{"teacherId":8966321,"projectId":9250091,"letterContent":"The project that was funded is very meaningful for all of us. Your support has made a meaningful and immediate difference in the lives of our students, and I can't thank you enough.\r\n\r\nAs a librarian at a small rural school, I often face the reality that there is very limited funding available for library programming, books, or enrichment activities. While we do the best we can with the resources we have, the truth is that many wonderful ideas and initiatives are simply out of reach without additional support. That's why your donation means so much. It has allowed us to bring new energy, excitement, and opportunities into our library space—something that has a lasting impact on both students and teachers alike.\r\n\r\nThanks to your contribution, I've been able to organize fun, creative, and engaging activities that students genuinely look forward to. Whether it's through special reading challenges, hands-on craft projects connected to stories, author-themed games, or simply being able to offer small prizes and supplies, these experiences have helped our students see the library not just as a place for books, but as a place of joy, imagination, and belonging.\r\n\r\nThe enthusiasm among students has been incredible. It's truly heartwarming to see their faces light up when they enter the library and realize there's something new waiting for them. For some of our students, the library is one of the few places where they feel safe, welcomed, and inspired. Your gift has helped strengthen that feeling and turn our library into even more of a hub for creativity and connection.\r\n\r\nI've also noticed that because of these new activities, more students are visiting the library regularly—many of them who weren't previously involved or interested in reading. They are discovering books that resonate with them, participating in group activities, and developing a stronger sense of ownership over the space. All of this growth wouldn't have been possible without your kindness.\r\n\r\nPlease know that your generosity has touched not only me as the school librarian, but also the entire student body. You've helped create opportunities that these students will remember for years to come. Sometimes all it takes is one experience, one story, or one moment to spark a lifelong love of learning or reading—and you've helped make that possible.\r\n\r\nOnce again, thank you so much for your support. It's donors like you who make a lasting difference in small schools like ours. Your contribution has truly been a gift to our entire community.","fullyFundedDate":1746786312889,"projectUrl":"project/library-supplies/9328253/","projectTitle":"Library Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Smothers","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10022442_orig.jpg?crop=286,286,x46,y81&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1746987848999","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10022442"},{"teacherId":9827022,"projectId":8921526,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for choosing to contribute to my classroom! \r\n\r\nMy seniors have worked really hard on their Senior Memory Books throughout the school year.
