With your help, our EAST students recently completed a hands-on drone project and used our Button Maker machine to create custom designs connected to their work. While many people use technology at home, classroom technology gives students a very different kind of learning experience—one that requires problem-solving, collaboration, and real-world STEM thinking. Students planned flight paths, practiced safe drone operation, and learned how small adjustments in controls affected performance. The Button Maker added a creative component, allowing them to turn their digital ideas into tangible buttons that represented their teams and project goals.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for students was seeing their plans come to life. Watching a drone they set up actually lift off the ground sparked curiosity and confidence, and the instant gratification of creating their own buttons made the project feel personal and fun. These tools helped students connect technical skills with creativity, giving them a sense of ownership and pride.\r\n\r\nSeveral students who don't always feel successful in traditional academic settings really thrived during this project. One quiet student emerged as the class \"drone troubleshooter,\" helping others solve calibration issues, while another took the lead in digital design and taught classmates how to create high-quality button graphics.
