Because of your contribution, our students now have access to a laptop, remote clicker, and wireless mouse—tools that are already making a meaningful difference in how they learn and engage. While many of our students are familiar with technology in everyday life, this project has allowed them to use it in a purposeful, academic way. They are not just consuming content—they are creating it. These tools have enabled students to research, design, and deliver career-focused presentations, helping them build critical skills such as communication, organization, and digital literacy that will serve them well beyond the classroom.\r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting aspects for students has been the opportunity to present like professionals. Using the remote clicker and wireless mouse, they can move freely, interact with their audience, and take ownership of their work in a more confident and polished way. This has transformed presentations from something students often dread into something they genuinely look forward to. The sense of pride they feel when sharing their work has been incredible to witness.\r\n\r\nSeveral students, particularly those who are typically more reserved, have really thrived with this new technology. Having control in their hands—literally—has helped boost their confidence and encouraged them to step outside their comfort zones. It has been rewarding to see students who once hesitated to speak now standing tall and presenting with enthusiasm. Your generosity has not only provided tools, but also opportunities for growth, confidence, and future readiness. Thank you for investing in our students and their success.","fullyFundedDate":1776109733612,"projectUrl":"project/career-research-economic-literacy-proj/10126933/","projectTitle":"Career Research & Economic Literacy Project","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Hawkins","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1496162_orig.png?crop=557,557,x514,y429&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1665078033880","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mr-hawkins"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_53345","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":476,"numTeachers":28,"percentFrplEligible":60,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":96,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":2,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"7 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"17.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":55.5,"schoolId":53345,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Manila High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Manila High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/arkansas/manila-public-schools/manila-high-school/53345"}
