I called all of the students to the carpet and shared with them that we had received a special gift. That I had reached out to some amazing people who had put their money together to purchase us some new supplies.\r\nThe students were so excited, some were already bouncing up and down from where they were sitting as I dragged the boxes in front of them. \r\nI explained to them that the new supplies would be for each student. To allow us to learn better in our classroom and move around without disrupting our learning environment. \r\nStudents started shouting out what they thought it was, saying anything from a trampoline to a giant rubber ducky (you are as clueless as I am on that one).\r\nAs I opened the box and pulled out the 'seating desks' students began shouting out \"I want to try!!\". When I opened the next box full of wobble cushions, you could see them getting even more excited. When I cracked open the box of chair bands, and showed them how they slip between their chair legs so they can bounce their feet- the room erupted in happy voices.\r\nEverything you did made this possible. The joy my students feel- the excitement they show as they get to try out their new flexible seating is because you donated.\r\nThank you for helping my students get everything that they didn't know they needed. We never get special treats, so thank you for the time and funds that you provided to help us get one.","fullyFundedDate":1749772250264,"projectUrl":"project/embracing-movement-and-flexibility-in-le/9386946/","projectTitle":"Embracing Movement and Flexibility in Learning Spaces","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Friery","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9458157"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_51973","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":629,"numTeachers":48,"percentFrplEligible":89,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":38,"percentWhite":29,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":18,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"13.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":65.3,"schoolId":51973,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Main Street Visual and Performing Arts Magnet School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Main Street Visual and Performing Arts Magnet School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/arkansas/hot-springs-school-district/oaklawn-visual-performing-arts-magnet-school/51973"}
