It was like Christmas in our studio that day; the students immediately jumped in to sort and debate over what projects I had in store. \r\n\r\nThe new resources we received from this donation included various wood pieces, wood burners, and woodcutters. The wood burners were the biggest hit and we had to start a project on the process immediately. My advanced students worked to burn designs onto wood squares and then stained those with liquid watercolor. Students have also built houses, light boxes, lanterns, and even an old-time saloon using the wood pieces we received! \r\n\r\nAs a teacher in a small, rural school district, it is always a blessing to receive extra funding. My students and I appreciate you for your generosity.
