Especially the fishing rods/fish! A majority of our school has never had the experience of fishing so being able to teach them how to cast was really exciting.... Then seeing their excitement on hooking a fish, or getting really close was an adrenaline rush (: \r\n\r\nWe are fishing with K-5 (the whole school!) which is almost 600 students! 2nd grade however, is roller skating! This has been a huge unit at our school because all the 1st graders look forward to skating their next year and 2nd graders really get to test their skills, balance and focus. The protective gear and the skater assists that were donated have been crucial aspects of my roller skating unit as most of my kids have not skated or have the basic skills in the beginning.
