I wish you could have been in the room the day it arrived. The kiddos literally cheered as I brought it into the room! They couldn't wait for me to unroll it and get it set up. Their reaction was priceless!\r\n\r\nWe have used this rug in some form or fashion every single day since it has arrived in our room. We meet at the carpet every day for phonics and our read aloud time. We finished up a unit on The War of 1812 last month. This rug was invaluable to that unit! We were able to locate exactly where the British invaded the United States. It brought history alive to my students as they were able to put names with locations.\r\n\r\nLater this year, we will have a unit on Westward Expansion and another unit on The Civil War. This rug will be so crucial, once again, in putting names with locations and tracking major historical events from our country!
