They were able to physically model the numbers, regroup when needed, and see how the operations worked, which helped build their confidence and accuracy.\r\n\r\nI wanted to strengthen and expand my students' mathematical skills through meaningful, hands-on learning experiences because manipulatives allow students to see, touch, and model mathematical concepts.
