Students engaged in an activity where they read and edited instructions with missing punctuation, then compared how meaning changed once corrections were made—ultimately revealing a fun cupcake decorating activity facilitated by mentors. Students also explored informational texts about robotics before visiting our STEM (EAST) classroom to see robotics in action, where they asked deeper questions, made connections between text and technology, and engaged in meaningful discussions that extended far beyond the page.\r\nLooking ahead, our library program will host a cultural day highlighting countries and cultures represented in our school community. Students will work alongside mentors through reading conferences and workshops to create t-shirt book reports and participate in a fashion show.
