Some of my female students are not embarrassed about asking for feminine products in class, but some are very shy. When we put all the supplies away, we created some small zippered pencil cases with a set of supplies. This way they can just borrow a set of my \"colored pencils\". I had to girls spread the word.\r\n\r\nSince the supplies arrived, numerous students have stopped in and picked up supplies to get them through their day. I have not questioned any of them about why they needed supplies, but I know a couple asked if they couple take a few extra. Maybe they needed to put a few in their bag just for future emergencies or maybe they needed a few to take home due to not being able to afford supplies, either way this project has provided for them and I am thankful to have generous donors who helped with this project.\r\n\r\nIn most cases, having these supplies available kept them from having to go home and cause class absences. \r\n\r\nOur next classroom project will probably be for hygiene. I asked the students about needs in a google form. The majority of them responded that it would be helpful to have deodorants, shampoo, and soap available for them to take home and use. Most also responded that they are afraid to ask, but if it was available they would use the items when needed.","fullyFundedDate":1733260669038,"projectUrl":"project/period-project/8894458/","projectTitle":"Period Project!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Gray","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5408441_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1627409138846","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/grayscience"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_56528","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":185,"numTeachers":25,"percentFrplEligible":83,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":96,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":1,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"7 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"7.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":61.5,"schoolId":56528,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Bradford High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Bradford High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/arkansas/bradford-school-district/bradford-high-school/56528"}
