We receive five magazines each month, including one solely dedicated to science, that align very well with our science and social studies standards. It is so difficult to teach these topics in Kindergarten, and these magazines and online videos and games, make it fun and engaging. \r\nThe magazines and online learning take the topics to a deeper level than just discussing or reading about them. They provide games, pictures, vocabulary, videos that feel like a virtual field trip and help provide experiences that some children may not have the opportunities to experience otherwise.\r\nThe students love exploring the magazines and discussing the topics. We've recently read and explored life cycles of pumpkins. We have not only learned all about pumpkins, but were able to see what a pumpkin patch looks like, including festivals using pumpkins, such as pumpkin boat racing. \r\nThank you for sparking a love for learning, and for providing materials that keep learning fun!","fullyFundedDate":1755699999125,"projectUrl":"project/lets-find-out-support-kindergarten-lea/9295090/","projectTitle":"Let's Find Out: Support Kindergarten Learning!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Golden","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7615025_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1675571774406","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7615025"},{"teacherId":10057591,"projectId":9417147,"letterContent":"I want to extend my deepest thanks for your generous support of our classroom project. Thanks to your contributions, we've received a new microscope, flexible seating, and essential classroom supplies, and the impact has been nothing short of transformative for my students.\r\n\r\nThe excitement in the room was palpable when the materials arrived. Many of my students had never seen a real microscope up close, let alone used one. The very first time we used it, they were fascinated by the tiny details they could observe, from onion skin cells to pond water organisms. One student exclaimed, \"It's like a whole other world in there!\" It turned a regular science lesson into a hands-on discovery adventure, and sparked genuine curiosity and thoughtful questions that carried over into the next day's discussion.\r\n\r\nThe flexible seating options have given students more control over their learning environment. Whether working on group projects, reading independently, or diving into science journals, they now have a space that suits their needs and helps them focus. I've noticed a big improvement in collaboration and student engagement especially with students who previously struggled to stay on task.\r\n\r\nThe classroom supplies have made day-to-day learning smoother and more efficient. It's amazing how something as simple as having the right tools on hand can remove barriers to participation and creativity.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in our classroom. Your kindness has created an environment where students feel excited to learn and empowered to explore.
