These materials will allow students to take a more active role in their learning by providing hands-on experiences and opportunities through science and reading. Each activity is designed to directly involve all students and show them that literacy and science can be fun. I will integrate science and literacy to make learning more meaningful to them. We will be able to improve phonics skills as well as read about science and follow up with STEM activities designed to pique their interest level about each science topic and promote higher-order thinking skills. Finally, students will gain self-confidence and improve literacy and scientific skills as they work independently and with their peers.
