The materials have made a meaningful impact on each of my students.\r\n\r\nHow are you and your students using the new resources?\r\nThe new arts and crafts materials are used daily during small-group instruction and center-based activities to support fine motor development, creativity, and communication. During a recent project, students used construction paper, glue, and crayons to create artwork while learning the letters J and S, along with previously introduced letters and numbers up to five. As they worked, students practiced grasping tools, making choices, and expressing themselves—some through words and others through gestures and smiles. Moments like these show how the materials help build confidence and encourage learning through play.\r\n\r\nHow did your students react when they first saw the materials?\r\nStudents were excited and eager when they first saw the new materials. They smiled, pointed, and were ready to begin creating right away. The markers, pencils, and paper allow us to continue our learning each day and we are really starting to grow!!! My students love using the plastic sheet protectors to complete their work, any opportunity to use dry erase markers is extremely fun for them. My kinders have gotten very good at writing their names thanks to the practice they get. \r\nOur library had the biggest transformation. We went from having several tubs full of books on the floor to having a very welcoming library. The bookshelf allows us to display our books in a way that makes it very easy for students to find what they are looking for and they have all taken great pride in keeping it neat and orderly. My students spend a lot of time in the library and they all have their favorites. They see reading as an enjoyable activity that they choose to do rather than a difficult assignment that they have to do.
