We use the letter manipulatives daily during small group instruction, where students build words, match uppercase and lowercase letters, and practice phonics in a tactile and engaging way. The number and counting tools have been especially helpful during math centers—students use them to count, sort, and represent numbers, which has strengthened their understanding and confidence.\r\n\r\nOne special moment that stood out was when a student who previously struggled to recognize letters independently was able to build their name using the letter manipulatives. Their excitement and pride were truly unforgettable. Moments like these remind me how powerful hands-on learning can be.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, their faces lit up with excitement. They were eager to explore, touch, and use everything right away. It immediately increased their engagement and motivation to participate in activities. Even students who are usually hesitant became more involved and willing to try.\r\n\r\nThe cleaning and organizing materials have also made a big difference. Students are learning to take responsibility for their workspace by cleaning up after activities, which supports independence and builds important life skills.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, we plan to incorporate these resources into more structured literacy and math interventions. Students will continue developing foundational skills through interactive centers, and we will introduce more collaborative activities where they can practice social and communication skills alongside academics.\r\n\r\nYour support has not only provided materials—it has created meaningful learning experiences, boosted student confidence, and helped foster independence in our classroom. Thank you for making a lasting impact on our students' growth and success.","fullyFundedDate":1769178236566,"projectUrl":"project/learning-through-play-letters-numbers/9904453/","projectTitle":"Learning Through Play: Letters, Numbers, and Counting Tools","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Pacres","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10335050_orig.jpg?crop=1090,1090,x205,y491&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1761700957217","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10335050"},{"teacherId":10335050,"projectId":9863132,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our classroom with the HP printer and iPad. These tools have made a meaningful difference for my preschool students.\r\n\r\nThe iPad has become an engaging learning center where students can practice early literacy, counting, and fine-motor skills through interactive apps. Many of our donors may use technology at home, but in the classroom it becomes a powerful tool for individualized learning — allowing each child to work at their own pace while I provide support where it's needed most.\r\n\r\nThe students are especially excited about how the iPad turns learning into a game. They love the touch-and-move activities, letter-sound practice, and digital stories. It has quickly become one of their favorite parts of the day.\r\n\r\nThe HP printer has helped us create hands-on materials — visual schedules, communication supports, personalized worksheets, and artwork the children can take home. Being able to print instantly allows me to adapt lessons quickly for students who need additional scaffolding.\r\n\r\nOne of my students who is usually shy during group lessons has really warmed up to the iPad. The interactive visuals help him focus, and he is now more confident participating in counting and letter activities. Another student enjoys helping me print classroom materials and proudly hands them out to classmates.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has given my students access to meaningful, developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
