That's not a small feat when in the hands of 6th graders! 😃 I don't think I'll go back to folders or binders. We save so much time setting up for class. The kids keep their pencils sharpened and actually take the collected shavings straight to the trash. I was nervous about that, but so far so good. They use the red and blue pencils to brighten up their notes, keep whiteboards clean and ready to go for the next class, and slide their notes right into the bags, nice and flat, and ready to use when it's time to practice or study for tests.\r\n\r\nMy room looks nicer too! The stray paper problem is almost non-existent. I even have students in each class who volunteer to grab the bags out of the crates and set them out for everyone. At the end of class: supplies zip in the little bag, little bag and papers in the big bag, big bag zipped, all back in the crate for the next day. The routine is set and we're ready for the next day. Thanks so much for your contribution. We all appreciate it. ☺️","fullyFundedDate":1753327538619,"projectUrl":"project/math-teaching-learning-management-star/9315529/","projectTitle":"Math Teaching & Learning Management Starts With Organized Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Elizondo","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8656019_orig.jpg?crop=2366,2366,x0,y299&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1721924228354","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/anna-elizondo"},{"teacherId":8656019,"projectId":8514162,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting my classroom. The kickstands most recently came in handy during our benchmark writing test. Several students checked them out to keep the iPads from crashing while they typed. The styluses are also very helpful to highlight content. They're a game changer when students use them on one of my favorite apps, Classkick. I load assignments into Classkick, and the students can complete the problems using the drawing and highlighting tools to show their math steps as if they were writing on paper. \r\n\r\nThe students have diligently checked out and returned both items using QR codes that link to Microsoft Forms. They know the procedures and have kept everything in new condition. The process is part of our daily routine. I am happy to see them working through problems much more easily, and I am able to open the app to grade the work. I no longer have to take stacks of papers home because the students turn the work in on their iPads, and I can open and grade the handwritten, legible math. Your contribution has made a big difference for all of us.","fullyFundedDate":1726664861802,"projectUrl":"project/stand-and-stylus-sets-for-ipads/8514162/","projectTitle":"Stand and Stylus Sets for iPads","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Elizondo","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8656019_orig.jpg?crop=2366,2366,x0,y299&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1721924228354","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/anna-elizondo"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_63533","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":827,"numTeachers":47,"percentFrplEligible":53,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":5,"percentWhite":18,"percentIndigenous":2,"percentLatinx":67,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"17.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":60.5,"schoolId":63533,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Mansfeld Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Mansfeld Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/arizona/tucson-unified-school-district/mansfeld-middle-school/63533"}
