My students have loved the lamination papers and colored printer. We have been able to laminate their work such as the thanksgiving mats. I have been using the colored printer for pictures to put up on our social studies vocabulary wall along with colored letters for displays in our hallway. We have used the colored printer and lamination machine/sheets A LOT. So much we have run out of colored ink. With the colored ink, students were able to use it for projects within our classroom but also for schoolwide projects! We cannot thank you enough!","fullyFundedDate":1757690486456,"projectUrl":"project/cases-color-care-oh-my/9509872/","projectTitle":"Cases, Color, Care Oh My!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Curtis","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8358827"},{"teacherId":4270912,"projectId":9859770,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support and for helping make this project possible. Because of your donation, we were recently able to finish adapting all of the toys so they are fully switch accessible, and the impact has been immediate and meaningful for our students.\r\n\r\nYour contribution also sparked a professional development training district-wide, where additional providers learned how to adapt battery-operated toys themselves. This has expanded the reach of your donation beyond one classroom, equipping more professionals with the skills to create accessible play opportunities for even more students.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the adapted materials, their reactions said everything—smiles, laughter, and clear excitement as they realized they could make something happen independently. For many of my students, this was their first time interacting with a toy on their own. The larger, adapted switches (stamps) you helped provide have been especially powerful, as their size makes them easier to access and promotes greater autonomy and confidence.\r\n\r\nIn the classroom, these switch-adapted toys are already supporting key learning skills such as engagement, turn taking, and communication initiation. Students are beginning to anticipate their turns, request help or \"more,\" and initiate interactions with peers and adults in ways we had not seen before. These moments—small on the surface—represent huge steps toward meaningful participation and communication.\r\n\r\nNext, we will be collaborating closely with other classroom teachers and related-service professionals to design lessons that intentionally integrate the switch-adapted materials into daily instruction. These materials will be embedded as part of the classroom's Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework, with a focus on engagement and perception, ensuring that all students have fair access to learning experiences.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving us the tools to open new doors for our students. Your support has created opportunities for independence, interaction, and joy that will continue to grow long after this project.","fullyFundedDate":1761695646659,"projectUrl":"project/press-a-switch-to-spark-a-voice-and-igni/9859770/","projectTitle":"Press a Switch to Spark a Voice and Ignite Connection","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Aguirre-Hernandez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4270912_orig.jpg?crop=640,640,x0,y19&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1761666015373","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4270912"},{"teacherId":9931498,"projectId":9130915,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for helping my class by giving them access to resources that help them gain the skills they need to be successful 2nd graders. And these resouces will be used throughout the whole school year and for years to come. \r\n\r\nMy students will use the headphones daily to focus on computer software that helps them discover what they are missing in reading and math skills. Some of my students are missing number value and symbol identification. The clay dough number math mats will give them a way to start making that connection. Last year's students practiced being responsible with their mice and were able to use them on the state test. Their responsibility was to keep their mice safe and use it appropriately. This year's students already are using them and have done an excellent job at using them responsibility. As a result, they will also be able to use their mice on the state tests and hopefully, for many of my classes to come. \r\n\r\nThe headphones could not be reused for sanitary reasons. but those who needed them last year, appreciated having headphones when they wouldn't have otherwise.
