While many use technology for entertainment at home, here it functions as a personalized tutor, a research assistant, and a gateway to the world. We use computers daily for research projects, which teaches students critical digital literacy skills—how to find, evaluate, and synthesize information. Furthermore, our learning apps are adaptive, allowing students who need extra support to receive targeted practice while challenging our advanced learners to dive deeper, ensuring every student is engaged at their \"just right\" level.\r\n\r\nThe new headphones, in particular, have been the most exciting addition for the students. For them, putting on a new, high-quality headset signals that it's \"technology time,\" a period of deep focus. The ability to clearly hear their learning apps without classroom distractions is a game-changer. I've seen some of my students who are easily distracted or struggle with auditory processing light up; the headphones allow them to create their own quiet \"learning bubble\" and truly immerse themselves in their work. We also have students who rely on text-to-speech features, and these crystal-clear headphones ensure they can understand every word, boosting both their confidence and their comprehension.","fullyFundedDate":1758369408394,"projectUrl":"project/online-learning/9668188/","projectTitle":"Online Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Vironet","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10110363"},{"teacherId":9037505,"projectId":9526956,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of our classroom! My students were thrilled when they first saw the headphones, snacks, dry erase markers, and erasers. Their faces lit up with excitement, and they couldn't wait to use everything right away.\r\n\r\nThe markers and erasers have quickly become part of our daily lessons, especially while learning how to write sentences. Using the whiteboards makes practice more engaging, and the students love being able to quickly write, share, and revise their work. The headphones have also been a game changer—allowing students to concentrate on their learning without outside distractions. This has made a noticeable difference in their ability to stay on task and work independently.\r\n\r\nAnd of course, the snacks were a big hit! The students had so much fun choosing and enjoying their treats, and I noticed they were more focused and ready to learn after a quick snack break.\r\n\r\nAs we continue building strong writing skills, these resources will support us every step of the way. From practicing sentences on whiteboards to focusing during reading and online learning with headphones, your generosity has made a lasting impact on my students' learning and joy at school.\r\n\r\nThank you again for making this possible for us!","fullyFundedDate":1757690486589,"projectUrl":"project/headphones-and-snacks/9526956/","projectTitle":"Headphones and Snacks","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Annie","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9037505"},{"teacherId":8398558,"projectId":8961218,"letterContent":"The impact of this project has been truly inspiring for both my students and me. With the expanded school garden and updated technology, my students have been actively engaged in hands-on learning experiences that bring science, sustainability, and agriculture to life. When they first saw the new resources, their excitement was contagious! They were eager to explore the upgraded garden beds.\r\n\r\nThanks to our donors' generosity, our next steps involve expanding our curriculum to incorporate even more STEM-focused lessons related to agriculture and sustainability. Students will soon begin a research project on sustainable farming methods, experimenting with composting, hydroponics, and different irrigation techniques. We also hope to involve the community by hosting garden days where families can participate in maintaining and learning from our outdoor classroom. This project has sparked a passion for environmental stewardship in our students, and we are excited to see where their curiosity and learning take them next!","fullyFundedDate":1735690100683,"projectUrl":"project/growing-together-expanding-our-school-g/8961218/","projectTitle":"Growing Together: Expanding Our School Garden and Sustainable Practices","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Boyd","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8398558_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1669088933558","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrsboyds4thgrade"},{"teacherId":6531375,"projectId":8716399,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for donating to our school's No Child Goes Hungry program.
