Because of your contributions, our classroom was recently enriched with a brand-new set of Rubik's Cubes, Kanoodle sets, and hexagonal puzzles. These resources have made a positive impact on them already.\r\n\r\nHere is a look into how your gift is shaping our classroom:\r\nOur new puzzles have become a staple during our dedicated logic-building time and even when they have some free choice! These hands-on materials give my students continuous opportunities to strengthen their critical thinking, strategic planning, and perseverance.\r\n\r\nHow My Students Reacted:\r\nWhen the packages first arrived and we unboxed the materials together they were super excited! They were especially excited to try the Rubik's Cubes and it was great that they each had their own rather than having to share one because they were all engaged. Students were eager to explore how they worked and mixed them up right away. Students are also now always asking for \"puzzle time\" when we have extra moments because they loved the challenge, particularly with Kandoodle Head 2 Head and Q-Bitz where they race a classmate or classmates to complete the puzzle.\r\n\r\nWhat's Next for Students:\r\nIdeally students who master specific puzzle strategies or Rubik's Cube algorithms will prepare to step into peer-coaching roles, explaining their logical steps and spatial reasoning to classmates.\r\n\r\nMy ongoing goal is to cultivate a classroom environment grounded in a growth mindset—a space where students see challenges not as roadblocks, but as exciting opportunities to learn. When a student starts to get dysregulated, I can prompt them to choose a tool that will help them be successful.
