The day of the unboxing came and students' eyes lit up with \"Bro!\" \"Yess!\" and \"I want that one!\" \r\n During both December and February, students were able to choose books of their liking, whether fiction or nonfiction, Graphic Novels, or picture books. Each student left smiling with a book that they chose. Many asking unbelievingly, \"I get to keep this? Forever?\" Now, I get updates from students about their books, suggestions for new books to get next year and requests for series to be in the library collection.\r\n The most impactful change has been, due to student interest, that our 6th grade teachers are now bringing their homerooms into the library on a regular basis. Before, students could come when they wanted a book, but now, ALL the students are brought into the library and get a book. It truly warms my librarian heart to see these \"big kids\" not only reading, but demanding library time!\r\n Thank you for your support of education and for funding this project.
