I can not believe our school year has started already! I just received word from my students about their summer reading and I am just amazed. THey absolutely loved the Ivy and Bean books as well and the Pizza and Taco ones. Many parents reached out thanking our donors for giving them books that they were really interested in to read over the summer. Many students sent emails stating how much they loved reading their books and read more this summer than any other summer. That is the impact a good book does for my 2nd now 3rd graders. Now they are in 3rd grading reading more than they did a year ago and actually enjoying reading a variety of books.","fullyFundedDate":1742966946713,"projectUrl":"project/summer-reading/9177427/","projectTitle":"Summer Reading","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Wise","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1826091_orig.jpg?crop=480,480,x68,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1715016421278","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/melissa-wise"},{"teacherId":1826091,"projectId":9241627,"letterContent":"Thank you very much for helping our students start the year off right with some new books, scented pencils and bookmarks. Each students received a stocking filled with books, treats, pencils, and erasers. This gave them to opportunity to have a book to read over their winter break. I have a classroom of avid readers who a lot of them were traveling here and there. This was an easy thing to pack and take wherever they traveled too. We then had time when they came back to get into groups and not only share what we did over break, but to also take time to talk about the same book they read. It was a great opportunity to get kids reading and talk about what they read. \r\n\r\nHaving 2nd graders be so interested in reading in truly a gift!
