When I learned that an anonymous donor had funded our entire $620 request, I was truly overwhelmed by your kindness.\r\nIn a school library, new books are so much more than new additions to the shelves. They are invitations to explore, imagine, wonder, laugh, learn, and see the world through someone else's eyes. For our students, there is something especially exciting about finding a brand-new bookâone that has never been checked out, never been read, and is just waiting for them to discover it.\r\nOur library is an aging library, and keeping our shelves filled with fresh, engaging, and high-interest books can be a real challenge. Your gift made it possible for us to add books that our students are eager to read and that will be enjoyed by children for years to come. You have helped make sure that when a student walks into the library looking for their next adventure, there will be something new waiting for them.\r\nThe very best part of receiving new books is watching the students' excitement. Their faces light up when they see the new titles, and they immediately begin talking about which one they want to read first. I am including a photograph of some of our students proudly holding their new books, along with thank-you notes they wrote to you themselves. I hope you can see in their faces and their words just how much your generosity means to them.\r\nAlthough we may never know your name, your kindness has become part of our library and part of our students' reading journeys. Every time one of these books is opened, a little piece of your generosity will be passed on to another child.\r\nThank you for believing in the power of books, for investing in our readers, and for helping our library continue to grow.
