The hats became fun costume elements that helped students transform into their characters. With the cardboard cutters and paint, students worked together to design and create colorful props and scenery for the stage such as a volcano, sharks, and sea turtles. The colorful streamers helped create fun jellyfish.\r\n\r\nThis project gave our students a chance to collaborate, problem-solve and express their creativity. They took great pride in their work. They are able to complete this independently and read what they want to, rather than what is just available in the classroom.\r\n\r\nThis has also helped my English Language Learners to learn English and access books in their native language as well. Students have been able to learn about all sorts of interesting topics such as the ocean, space, and dinosaurs with the kindles!
