Seeing new dissecting trays, precision timers, and pristine poster boards made the upcoming labs feel \"real\" and professional. \r\n\r\nWe have be able to use your support to work across multiple units this past year, blending rigorous lab work with hands-on engagement: students are actively conducting inquiry-based lab experiments, including simulated blood typing and urinalysis. Having brand-new, clean dissecting trays elevated our hands-on dissections of sheep hearts, crayfish, and frogs, allowing students to focus entirely on anatomical structures without struggling with worn-out equipment.\r\n\r\nAfter completing their major investigations, students proudly showcased their research and data on high-quality poster boards during classwide presentations, stepping into the shoes of real scientists communicating their findings.\r\n\r\nBeyond the big equipment, everyday classroom essentials have made a massive daily impact. A sturdy, reliable electric pencil sharpener, a full class set of scissors and rulers keep our interactive notebooks organized, while fun pencil toppers serve as motivating rewards for outstanding behavior and hard work. Even our daily workflow got an upgrade with new grading stamps!\r\n\r\nBuilding on the momentum of these hands-on investigations, our next steps involve taking the data they collected from their recent dissection and lab units and translating it into comprehensive, evidence-based scientific lab reports. The impact these materials have had on my classroom has been immediate and meaningful.\r\n\r\nThe lilac fluorescent light covers have been a huge hit with my students. They love them! The soft lilac field and warm golden rays have completely changed the atmosphere of our classroom. The room feels calmer, warmer, and more relaxing, which has helped create a more positive learning environment and has even helped limit behaviors.\r\n\r\nThe 367 wooden sharpened number 2 pencils have also made a difference. My students now have the basic supplies they need to be successful without having to worry about not having a pencil or feeling embarrassed because they do not have one. Having these supplies readily available allows them to focus on learning rather than on whether they have what they need.\r\n\r\nThe pencil chews have been especially helpful for students who need additional sensory stimulation. Instead of chewing on and destroying their pencils, students can use the chews appropriately while still getting the sensory input they need. This has resulted in fewer destroyed pencils, better focus, and improved behavior.\r\n\r\nThank you so much for supporting my classroom and my students. Rather than just handing out clothes in garbage bags, these fixtures allow us to curate a true retail experience.\r\n\r\nNow that our store floor is equipped with proper displays, my students are moving into the next phase of our enterprise: launching our trade-for-trade punch-card system.\r\n\r\nOver the next few weeks, students will be establishing our store policies, organizing our massive inventory by size and season on the new racks, and hosting an official \"ribbon-cutting\" grand opening for our campus family. The students are currently preparing for the JAG Career Development Conference (CDC) next week.
