This was our third year hosting this event, and it brings school and community volunteers to care for our campus. The file cabinet you purchased for me arrived in a box. A lovely mother and son from our school community built the lateral file for me. Their service to our school and me personally, means as much as the generosity you have shown in purchasing this new storage for myself and my students.\r\n\r\nI came in to to school this morning and was able to organize two drawers of articulation and phonology materials that we use frequently during Speech/Language therapy. I have left room in the second drawer for my students to organize their personal folders by grade-level. We can finally declutter the speech room from having the stack of student folders on the floor, and provide the students a chance to further develop their responsibility and organizational skills. They are going to be excited to be 'allowed' to go into the file cabinet at the start and end of each communication lesson. \r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of my heart, thank you for providing us this much needed storage. It has given us more room for additional materials, and easy accessibility.\r\n\r\nI can't wait to see my students faces when they come for speech this week. Thank you for supporting my classroom through this project. Thank you for helping me expose my students to an entrepreneurial learning experience! Throughout December, we learned about how holidays are celebrated around the world and we learned about starting a business. One country we visited was Germany, and one event we focused on were the Holiday Markets throughout Europe. \r\n\r\nLike the business owners in the European Holiday Markets, my students started their own businesses and created items to sell within our classroom economy. After time to create, we invited three other classes to shop our stores in our Kindness Kingdom Holiday Market. Every student sold enough items to at least break even...Some students made a significant amount of Kindness Cash.\r\n\r\nYour support allowed my class to create items to sell and helped them learn about starting their own businesses. They loved it so much, they immediately asked if we could do it again in the spring. My students learned so much about the Joy of Giving from this project. We worked together to decorate gift bags to send around to the classes at our school to spread kindness. After the bags were decorated, we filled them with highlighters for every student, mints for students and teachers, kindness stickers for all community members! After the bags were stuffed with gifts, my students walked to the various classrooms to deliver the goodie bags and spread kindness throughout our school.\r\n\r\nThroughout this project, my students never once asked why they weren't getting the treats in the bags too. They were filled with so much joy simply from giving gifts to others around our school community. After the gifts were delivered, students received thank cards from various teachers which helped add more joy to our hearts. \r\n\r\nThank you for making this project happen.
