We use the sensory toys throughout the school day to help students regulate their emotions, calm their bodies, and refocus when they are feeling overwhelmed or need a short break. The sanitizer and wipes help us keep our classroom clean and healthy, while the snacks ensure that students have something nutritious when they are hungry and need a little extra energy to stay focused. When my students first saw the new sensory toys and snacks, they were so excited! Their smiles and eagerness to explore the new materials showed just how valuable these simple resources are in creating a welcoming classroom environment.\r\n\r\nThese supplies are helping us create a classroom where students feel safe, supported, and ready to learn. A student who may have difficulty concentrating can use a sensory toy to help regain focus, and having a healthy snack available can make a big difference for a student who is struggling with hunger. We will continue using these resources throughout the school year as we work on building independence, practicing self-regulation, and developing positive learning habits. Snark tuners also give a visual reference to assist.
