I have a really fun group of students. To help meet their learning needs I requested materials to help engage them in their learning and help them be able to work in groups. \r\n\r\nThe item they were most excited about was the classroom rug! They like the smiley faces and I'm happy it matches my pastel/beach theme classroom. Many of my students really wanted to sit towards the front of the class during our lessons. The rug gives each of them their own space.\r\n\r\nThe card organizers are very helpful for displaying words we are focusing on learning about. I've noticed when they are working on writing a word they know we have discussed they look at the organizer. The snacks were a wonderful way to start the day for some of my students who did not eat breakfast or were hungry between breakfast and lunch. In addition, all the materials, such as construction paper and other supplies, have been extremely helpful in our classroom. These resources support hands-on learning and allow my students to be creative while staying engaged. Your generosity has made a meaningful difference in our students' daily experiences, and we are truly grateful.\r\n\r\nThe other major activities we completed included the creation of a Día de los Muertos altar. Students who chose to participate took construction paper home and, with the support of their families, decorated it using photographs of a family member or pet who had passed away to honor their memory. \r\n\r\nAdditionally, the donated materials were used to create Christmas cards and to paint individual canvas, which students made as gifts to the important people in their lives.\r\n\r\nAll donated items were used thoughtfully, respectfully, and with great care.
