My students have been energized to help build the new galvanized beds and we even managed to create a hybrid of the old and new beds. My students wanted to keep the wooden support and shade structure we had with the old bed which has been used to support tomato and pepper plants in the past. As you can see in a couple of pictures, the combination has given the gardens an updated look and look amazing! \r\nI has able to have approximately 70 students plan seeds! These students were from my classes as well as others who want to help move the soil back into the beds. Their \"payment\" being able to plan seeds. The combination of seeds we received in the Gardeners Basics Survival Vegetable Seeds Garden Kit with 35 Varieties Seeds for Planting Vegetables, allowed us to choose seeds we could plant for our region and time of year. Let's just say we will have an abundance of watermelon! Clearly a favorite among the kids. We are all excited to see how they seeds grow over our Spring Break. We are already planning our time to set up 5 more garden beds for all the plants we are hoping to have soon. \r\nThank you again for your generous donation.
