My students across all grade levels (4th all the way up to 12th) couldn't stop oohing and aahing as we unboxed everything. The younger kids were practically jumping out of their skin wanting to feel the fresh clay, while my high schoolers immediately started plotting out complex designs like seasoned artists. Seeing their eyes light up and watching that instant spark of inspiration take over the room was a moment I'll never forget.\r\nHaving these high-quality resources has completely elevated what we can do in class. Lately, we've been diving into a collaborative \"Textures of Nature\" project where the students are using the new carving tools and specialty glazes to create intricate, hand-built vessel sculptures. The precision tools have been an absolute game-changer—one of my 6th graders spent an entire period meticulously detail-carving delicate dragon scales into a clay jar, glowing with pride because the old, worn-out plastic tools we used to have could never achieve that level of detail. It's given them the confidence to turn their wild imaginations into tangible art.\r\nLooking ahead, we're gearing up for our next major milestone: the final glazing and firing process! Now that the students have built their foundational pieces, they're learning the science behind glaze reactions and planning out their color schemes using our vibrant new glazes. Next month, we're holding an all-grades \"Art Walk\" gallery in the school lobby to showcase their finished, fired masterpieces to parents and peers. None of this hands-on magic would be happening without your incredible generosity—thank you for giving my artists the tools to bring their dreams to life!","fullyFundedDate":1776087100868,"projectUrl":"project/the-messy-masterpiece-party/10121951/","projectTitle":"The Messy Masterpiece Party","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Teaters","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7948879"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_102882","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":684,"numTeachers":1,"percentFrplEligible":17,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":78,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":13,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":5,"gradesServed":"K - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"684.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":100.0,"schoolId":102882,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Eagleridge Enrichment Program on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Eagleridge Enrichment Program","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/arizona/mesa-public-schools/eagleridge-enrichment-program/102882"}
