Your generosity helped us create something truly special in our classroom—a place where reading felt welcoming, social, and exciting.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, my fifth graders had the opportunity to gather with classmates around books they are genuinely interested in reading. For many of my students, reading can be challenging, and choosing to read independently does not always come easily. Our Book Club Café has helped change that. Instead of seeing reading as simply another assignment, students are beginning to experience books as something they can share, discuss, and enjoy together.\r\n\r\nThe books and materials you provided have given students more ownership over their reading. They can choose books that interest them, read alongside their peers, talk about characters and important events, make predictions, and share their thinking. I especially love seeing students encourage one another and become excited to talk about what they have read.\r\n\r\nFor students who have struggled with reading in the past, these moments are incredibly meaningful. The Book Club Café gives them a comfortable space to participate, build confidence, and discover that they belong in a community of readers.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping us put engaging books into students' hands and for giving my students an experience that goes far beyond simply practicing reading skills. You helped us create a classroom where readers can gather, connect, and grow together.\r\n\r\nWe are so grateful for your support!\r\n\r\nWith gratitude,\r\nA Very Thankful Fifth Grade Class","fullyFundedDate":1775089455765,"projectUrl":"project/where-readers-gather-our-book-club-caf/10158340/","projectTitle":"Where Readers Gather: Our Book Club Café","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Marose","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp90059_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1774235649354","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/90059"},{"teacherId":10374892,"projectId":10130831,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of our music program and for providing our students with new percussion equipment. For many of our students, access to new equipment helps build confidence, encourages creativity, and makes learning music even more exciting and rewarding.\r\n\r\nOur percussion students are learning much more than how to play instruments. They are developing teamwork, discipline, responsibility, listening skills, and perseverance. The equipment you provided will allow them to participate more fully in rehearsals and performances while helping them grow as musicians and as individuals.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, your donation shows our students that their education and musical experiences matter. Tuba stands help support the weight of the instrument, allowing students to sit more comfortably and maintain better posture while playing. This allows them to focus their attention on learning music rather than managing the physical demands of the instrument.\r\n\r\nTuba stands also help students develop good playing habits. With the instrument properly supported, students can concentrate on breathing, technique, tone quality, and ensemble skills. They provide a more comfortable and consistent playing position, which can help students become more confident musicians.\r\n\r\nAnother important benefit is instrument safety. A stand gives students a secure place to rest their tuba when they are not playing, helping reduce the risk of accidental drops or damage. Protecting these valuable instruments helps our music program make the most of its resources.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, providing tuba stands shows our students that their comfort, safety, and success matter. A small piece of equipment can have a meaningful impact on a young musician's experience and can encourage students to continue developing their musical skills.","fullyFundedDate":1773706140804,"projectUrl":"project/tuba-stands-needed/9945651/","projectTitle":"Tuba Stands Needed","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Gibson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10374892"},{"teacherId":9373240,"projectId":9697781,"letterContent":"We've been using the new snacks and social skills games in such a natural, helpful way throughout our day. The snacks have really made a difference students are starting to recognize when they need a quick reset and are using them to help stay focused and calm. During our social skills time, the games have been a fun way to practice things like taking turns, communicating, and working through small challenges together. One of my favorite moments was seeing a group of students have a disagreement during a game and actually pause, talk it out, and solve it on their own using the strategies we've been working on it was such a proud moment.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw everything, they were about as excited as middle schoolers can be. The games have helped build stronger connections between students. Next, we're going to keep building on these skills by adding in more role-playing and group challenges with the games. Students will also start setting small social goals for themselves and reflecting on how they're doing, which will help them keep growing in a really meaningful way.","fullyFundedDate":1767209071556,"projectUrl":"project/refuel-regulate-snacks-and-sel-games/9697781/","projectTitle":"Refuel & Regulate: Snacks and SEL Games for Students","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Madden","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9373240"},{"teacherId":90059,"projectId":9876493,"letterContent":"Big Thank you!! The curriculum is full of \"excerpts\" but nothing compares to reading full novels like my students were able to do with your support . Not only, did they read and meet weekly to discuss but they are now immersed in project based learning where they'll present all they've learned through book clubs. \r\nThe furniture provided is used daily and students feel like they're special and are comfortable in their learning environment. They sit side by side or on the floor with lush cushions . They use the small coffee tables to collaborate and meet and discuss with joy their books. None of this could have been possible without your generosity. I'm grateful! My students will hold these special memories as they move forward into middle school. They will see reading and literacy as a lifelong joy. They will go forward as adults, being interested in forming book clubs with their own friends.","fullyFundedDate":1760766034713,"projectUrl":"project/kids-book-clubs-meet-me-at-caf-marose/9790801/","projectTitle":"Kids Book Clubs!
