We are still in the process of getting everything ready for students to begin designing and printing their own creations, but they are already asking questions about the printers and excited about what they will be able to make. For many of my students, this will be their first opportunity to use a 3D printer and see something they create on a computer become an actual object they can hold.\r\n\r\nWhat I am most excited about is giving students the opportunity to learn through creating, experimenting, and problem-solving. They will be able to design something, print it, see what works and what doesn't, and then make changes to improve their design. This gives students a chance to practice perseverance and understand that mistakes are part of the learning process.\r\n\r\nI have students with many different interests and strengths, and I am excited to see which students really connect with this technology. Some students who may not always feel confident in traditional academic activities may discover that designing, building, and creating is something they really enjoy. I am so grateful to our donors for giving my students the opportunity to explore new technology and experience STEM learning in such a hands-on and meaningful way.","fullyFundedDate":1778002136717,"projectUrl":"project/printing-possibilities-bringing-ideas-t/10252224/","projectTitle":"Printing Possibilities: Bringing Ideas to Life in Full Color","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Katz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp1483637_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1470591818564","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/misskatz"},{"teacherId":1483637,"projectId":10173395,"letterContent":"I am so incredibly thankful for your generous donations to our classroom! Having plenty of filament means students will be able to try new things, make changes to their designs, and create a variety of projects throughout the year. The storage units have already made a huge difference by giving us a place to keep all of our new materials organized and easily accessible.\r\nThank you again for supporting my students and helping provide them with these amazing opportunities. While I have not yet introduced the printers directly to students, I have been working to prepare them for meaningful classroom use. I am taking the time to become familiar with the equipment, learn more about the design and printing process, and determine how to best incorporate 3D printing into lessons and projects.\r\nOne of my goals is to use the 3D printers to allow me to take on more of a coaching role with my students. Instead of giving students step-by-step directions or solutions, I want to guide them as they develop their own ideas, solve problems, and learn from mistakes. Students will be able to design something, print and test it, identify what worked and what did not, and make changes to improve their design. As their teacher, I can ask questions, provide feedback, and support them through the process while allowing them to take ownership of their learning.\r\nAlthough we are still in the beginning stages of implementation, I am excited about the opportunities these printers will provide. I hope to use them for classroom STEM activities, collaborative projects, and competition preparation. Most importantly, I want the printers to give students more opportunities to be creative, take risks, work through challenges, and see themselves as problem-solvers, designers, and innovators.","fullyFundedDate":1771877460068,"projectUrl":"project/building-tomorrow-one-layer-at-a-time/10114473/","projectTitle":"Building Tomorrow, One Layer at a Time","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Katz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp1483637_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1470591818564","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/misskatz"},{"teacherId":8017570,"projectId":9737085,"letterContent":"Wow!
