It has completely changed my teaching and my students' learning this year. I teach English language learners at my school. It has been more than 20 years since our district purchased a comprehensive curriculum for our EL program. That curriculum is outdated and so many pieces are missing at this point, so I have to supplement with online resources regularly. \r\n\r\nIn August this year, I found a new, international website that has colorful, well-developed resources specifically for teaching English language learners. It has teaching posters, PowerPoint presentations, stories and other texts for reading, practice worksheets, interactive games, vocabulary cards, and more for every EL standard that I am responsible for teaching. These resources are modern, culturally inclusive, and neurodiverse in their design, but they are all in color.\r\n\r\nIn order to make the most of these resources, I needed to be able to print them in color. Having color resources with which to teach allows me to grab and hold on to my students' attention. We have been able to diversify the types of learning experiences and activities that we engage in with these color resources. I have printed over 3000 pages in the last three months using the printer and the trial ink subscription that was included.
