The new books have allowed us to introduce key reading skills such as identifying main ideas, making inferences, retelling stories, and expanding vocabulary. Many of the texts also support our phonics instruction and give students meaningful opportunities to apply decoding strategies in context. These resources are helping students not only learn to read—but to love reading, too.\r\n\r\nIn our classroom, reading is a vibrant and interactive experience. We read together as a class, in small groups, and independently. Students are often found curled up with a good book during their free time or discussing their favorite parts with classmates. We use the books for read-alouds, guided reading lessons, and even writing prompts. With these new titles, students are making deeper connections and showing more confidence when sharing their thoughts.\r\n\r\nOne of my students, who was once reluctant to read, now rushes to our class library each morning to check if her favorite series is available. Another student who struggles with comprehension has shown noticeable growth in retelling stories after repeated reading with the new books. These small but meaningful moments are a testament to how impactful your donations are.
