Because of you, my third-grade students have access to new books that are helping them grow as readers, build confidence, and discover the joy of reading.\r\n\r\nThese books are so much more than just stories. They are valuable tools that allow us to practice important reading skills such as identifying the main idea, making inferences, understanding character traits, expanding vocabulary, and using text evidence to support our thinking. We are also learning how to make connections between what we read and our own lives, helping students develop a deeper understanding of the world around them.\r\n\r\nReading is an important part of our daily classroom routine. We spend time reading together, discussing stories, practicing comprehension skills, and building independence as readers. One of my favorite things to see is students becoming excited about books and eager to share what they have read with their classmates.\r\n\r\nWhat makes these new books especially meaningful is the opportunity they provide for students of different reading abilities to find something they enjoy. Some of my students are still working hard to build their reading confidence, while others are ready to challenge themselves with more complex texts. Having a greater variety of books helps me encourage every student to grow at their own pace while developing a love for reading.\r\n\r\nAs a teacher in a Title I school, I know how important it is to provide students with engaging, high-quality reading materials. Your generosity has helped create a classroom environment where books are accessible, reading is celebrated, and students have more opportunities to experience success.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in my students and their education.
