When the children walked into our classroom and saw our new kitchen, they were ecstatic. The variety of kitchen toys that were donated with the kitchen created a lot of new vocabulary words and opportunities for language development. As speech and language pathologist, we believe play is the best way to promote language development in young children. The children ask to play in the kitchen daily, and it provides an easy opportunity for growth and learning while having fun doing so. The other materials provided created a colorful and warm classroom for our students. They now have a classroom that feels personable to them and they are excited to visit each time.
