The alphabet on the carpet gives students a fun and visual way to practice recognizing letters and their sounds. We also use the carpet when practicing sitting, listening, and participating during lessons. It has become a special part of our classroom learning space .My students were so excited when they first saw the new carpet! They loved the blue color and immediately noticed the alphabet. They were excited to find and identify letters they recognized. It made our classroom feel more welcoming and gave the students a special place where we can learn together.Our next steps are to continue using the carpet during our daily phonics, reading, and whole-group lessons. We are working hard on learning our letters and sounds, and the alphabet carpet will give students another opportunity to practice these skills in a fun and engaging way. As we continue through kindergarten, we will also use the carpet for read-alouds, songs, counting activities, and classroom discussions.
