Thanks to the awesome Canon printer I was given, I was able to print ALL 400+ student photos to attach to their work. It was so lovely to have colorful portraits. The students felt very confident with their drawing skills because their own photographs guided their practice. This is a challenging task for some students, to draw their own faces; but your generosity made it easier!\r\n\r\nStudents developed their ideas, in the folk art style, and used multiple media and art techniques to create beautiful artwork that can be used as a gift for Mother's Day! (Or for any other occasion). \r\n\r\nWe spent several class periods working on the self portraits. Craftsmanship and pride are obvious. I will share some photos of the process with you. Thank you again for your generosity! This printer will be used extensively in the art room. Your donation will impact thousands of my art students in the years to come. One of the most powerful moments was seeing students collaborate to design, build, and code their first working robots, testing ideas, troubleshooting errors, and celebrating success together. Their excitement and curiosity were immediate, and many students who were initially hesitant quickly became engaged and confident problem solvers.\r\n\r\nYour support has also helped our Robotics & Coding Club grow significantly, with more students joining and participating than ever before. Our robotics teams are now able to train more consistently and effectively, which has led to increased participation in competitions. Students are not only learning technical skills, but also teamwork, perseverance, and leadership as they prepare for events like SeaPerch and other robotics challenges. Having enough equipment for multiple teams has made a huge difference in ensuring that every interested student has a chance to be involved.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, our students are continuing to build on these experiences by working on more advanced coding challenges, engineering design projects, and competition ready robots. We are expanding opportunities for students to take on leadership roles, mentor younger peers, and represent our school in future competitions. Your generosity has truly created lasting impact, opening doors, inspiring innovation, and empowering our students to see themselves as future engineers and problem solvers. With the new equipment—including cones, agility ladders, jump ropes, and a variety of balls—we've been able to implement a wider range of engaging activities that promote teamwork, coordination, and physical fitness. One memorable project was our \"Fitness Circuit Challenge,\" where students rotated through different stations focused on cardio, strength, and balance. It was amazing to watch them motivate each other and push themselves to try new exercises.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, the excitement was immediate. There were cheers, big smiles, and lots of \"Can we try this now?\" moments. For many of them, it was the first time they had access to high-quality gear, and it made a big difference in their confidence and participation. They felt like real athletes and couldn't wait to dive in.\r\n\r\nNext up, we're using the new resources to launch a mini-unit on goal-setting and personal fitness tracking. Students will be learning how to set realistic fitness goals, track their progress over time, and reflect on their personal growth. The equipment allows for more variety and inclusivity, so every student can find activities that they enjoy and feel successful in.
