You may already use technology at home, but in a classroom full of kids, it truly becomes a learning lifeline. The headphones you donated have made such a big difference. My students can finally focus during their online reading without getting distracted by the noise around them. For many of my English language learners, being able to clearly hear the stories and instructions has helped them understand the material so much better.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for my kids is that these headphones feel like theirs. They love having something of their own to take care of, and you can see the pride on their faces when they put them on and get started. It makes them feel more grown up and confident.\r\n\r\nA couple of my students have really connected with this new tool. One of my more easily distracted kiddos now puts on their headphones and immediately settles into their work. It's like it helps them tune out the world. Another student who is learning English told me they feel more comfortable replaying stories because they don't feel embarrassed doing it in front of everyone else. That little bit of privacy has really boosted their confidence.\r\n\r\nThank you again for making this happen. Your generosity didn't just give my students headphones. It gave them independence, focus, and a better chance to succeed. This year at Salida we welcomed a Life Skills class k-3 and the materials received in this project help every day in making inclusion possible for our students with special needs. The AAC communicators have given voice and choice to my students during moments where words may not be possible to form due to high stress or unregulated mind. \r\n\r\nThis project also supports our general education students k-6 with Social Emotional Stories, Fidget breaks and sports related team building activities where we use the soccer balls and brick building counseling book for small groups. The 6th grade groups have been enjoying the markers for their vision board creations and using the fidgets to have regulation time during the day. \r\nWith out support from donors like you my students would have gone without this year but thanks to you they have a chance to be successful at their own pace.","fullyFundedDate":1753033967482,"projectUrl":"project/roadrunners-ready-to-regulate/9430796/","projectTitle":"Roadrunners Ready to Regulate","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Inman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10062955_orig.png?crop=396,396,x0,y1&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1752373422480","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10062955"},{"teacherId":5902163,"projectId":9131242,"letterContent":"I appreciate the STEM donations. The new earbuds let students listen to read-along stories at their own pace without distraction, and the whiteboard lapboards have already become a daily favorite for quick spelling and math checks.\r\n\r\nNext, we'll use the Wayside School and The Bad Guys series for small-group book clubs, encouraging deeper reading comprehension and discussion skills. The sentence-building games and phonics centers will continue to support our developing readers, while the whiteboard wallpaper turns our wall into a giant collaborative space for brainstorming and problem-solving.\r\n\r\nThese resources aren't just supplies — they're helping us create a classroom where every student can engage, explore, and feel proud of their work.","fullyFundedDate":1746786442668,"projectUrl":"project/engaging-literacy-activities/9131151/","projectTitle":"Engaging Literacy Activities","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Perales","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7847125_orig.png?crop=822,822,x0,y65&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1666061313094","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7847125"},{"teacherId":5902163,"projectId":9033879,"letterContent":"Your support to this project is appreciated. The posters and books quickly became an invaluable resource as we began discussing the different planets and their characteristics. Students loved referring to the posters for quick facts, and the book made complex space concepts more accessible. The giant magnets were also a huge hit—I was able to incorporate them into different lessons, and we even used them to play a few interactive games in class. These hands-on tools kept students engaged and helped reinforce key concepts in a fun and meaningful way.\r\n\r\nThe motorized planet kits were another favorite. These kits allowed students to see planetary motion in action, making it easier for them to grasp abstract space concepts. One of my students' favorite activities, however, was using the Vehicle Building Engineering Center. We've incorporated these kits into our \"Fun Fridays,\" giving students the opportunity to unleash their creativity and explore engineering concepts. Watching them design and build has been incredible—they've really taken ownership of their learning. Lastly, the forest cover lights have completely transformed the atmosphere in our classroom. Students mentioned that they feel like they're in space, which has made our lessons even more immersive. Beyond that, the calming effect of the lights has helped some students stay focused and engaged. These new materials have truly enhanced our learning environment, making science and engineering more exciting and accessible for everyone.","fullyFundedDate":1732752821603,"projectUrl":"project/math-stem-success-empowering-young/8953183/","projectTitle":"Math + STEM = Success: Empowering Young Minds","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Gomez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9629163"},{"teacherId":5902163,"projectId":8993649,"letterContent":"The children have been enjoying the new Playdoh tools and color options of Playdoh to use.
