One powerful moment came during a recent math lesson on repeated addition. Students were working to understand how repeated addition connects to multiplication. Using the vertical boards, small groups modeled different equations, such as 4 + 4 + 4 = 12, and drew visual representations. As students rotated around the boards, they were able to learn from one another's strategies, refine their thinking, and gain confidence.
