The emotional‑regulation tools you helped provide have already made a meaningful difference in our classroom. Students now have immediate access to resources that help them pause, breathe, and work through big feelings in healthy, constructive ways. Having these tools available has empowered them to take ownership of their emotions rather than feeling overwhelmed by them.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments came the very first day the materials were introduced. Several students gravitated toward the tools with curiosity, and within minutes they were practicing strategies we've discussed all year—deep breathing, grounding exercises, and sensory breaks. Watching them independently choose what they needed in the moment was a powerful reminder of how essential these supports are. These tools have become part of our daily routines, and students are using them with confidence and pride.","fullyFundedDate":1764711667952,"projectUrl":"project/jaguar-pride-essentials/9537536/","projectTitle":"Jaguar Pride Essentials","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Miraldi","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8556734_orig.jpg?crop=1044,1044,x0,y45&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753480708162","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8556734"},{"teacherId":1778455,"projectId":9790078,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for fully funding our project, \"Can We Grow a Garden Inside Our Classroom?\" Because of your generosity, our classroom has been transformed into a hands-on learning space filled with excitement and curiosity. When the indoor garden system arrived—along with the already-started plants (3 types of lettuce, dill, and green onions)—my students were amazed. They couldn't believe we would be growing real food right inside our classroom, and their reactions were full of wonder and eagerness to begin.\r\n\r\nWe are using the garden daily as part of our science learning. Students are observing plant growth, noticing changes, and taking responsibility for caring for the plants. One of the most exciting parts is that the system grows without soil, which allows me to gently pull out a plant and show students the root system. Being able to see the roots has helped students better understand how plants grow and sparked many thoughtful questions.\r\n\r\nThe students are especially excited for our first harvest in a few weeks. We will harvest all 3 types of lettuce and enjoy them together in class. I will bring in carrots and Ranch dressing so students can create their own fresh salad. The best part is that we only cut the leaves and not the entire plant, so the plants will continue growing and we will be able to harvest again and enjoy more salads together as our garden keeps producing.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has brought real-world learning into our classroom and created an experience my students will never forget. Thank you for helping our young learners grow curiosity, responsibility, and excitement for science.","fullyFundedDate":1766080870804,"projectUrl":"project/can-we-grow-a-garden-inside-our-classroo/9790078/","projectTitle":"Can We Grow a Garden Inside Our Classroom?","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Wilson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1778455_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1772295180828","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/wilson3rd"},{"teacherId":1778455,"projectId":9897185,"letterContent":"My first grade class immediately noticed and got out of their seats with excitement with all the \"new\" and different colored construction paper. \r\nThey were talking about their favorite colors that they wanted to use. Your support has had a powerful and lasting impact on my students and on the way mathematics is experienced and understood in our school. We are a low-income school, and many of our students come to us with limited access to educational resources at home. Because of this, donations such as yours are not simply helpful, they are essential.\r\n\r\nFor many of my students, these math tools are the first concrete learning materials they have ever used. Items such as manipulatives, counting tools, and hands-on resources allow students to physically interact with math concepts rather than relying solely on worksheets or verbal explanations. This is especially important for young learners, who develop understanding best through exploration, movement, and play-based learning. Your donation has transformed math from an abstract subject into a meaningful, engaging experience.\r\n\r\nSince introducing these materials, I have seen a noticeable increase in student engagement and confidence. Students are eager to participate, collaborate with peers, and explain their thinking using academic math vocabulary. Words such as \"more,\" \"less,\" \"equal,\" \"combine,\" and \"separate\" are now part of daily conversations in our classroom. Through hands-on exploration, students are not only learning how to solve problems but also how to talk about their reasoning, an essential skill for long-term academic success.\r\n\r\nThe impact is especially significant for our English Language Learners. Many of my students are developing English skills alongside academic content. The math tools provide visual and tactile support that helps bridge language gaps. Students are able to demonstrate understanding even when verbal language is still developing, which builds confidence and reduces frustration. Over time, this hands-on practice supports language growth as students connect words to actions and experiences.\r\n\r\nIn a low-income community, students often lack access to enrichment materials outside of school. These math tools ensure that all students—regardless of background—have equal opportunities to explore, practice, and succeed. Your generosity helps level the playing field by providing resources that support equity in education. Every student in my classroom now has access to high-quality instructional materials that promote curiosity, critical thinking, and joy in learning.\r\n\r\nPerhaps the most meaningful impact I have observed is the sense of ownership students have developed over their learning. When students use these tools, they are actively constructing knowledge rather than passively receiving information. They feel empowered to try, make mistakes, and try again. This mindset is critical for building perseverance and a positive relationship with learning, especially in mathematics.\r\n\r\nYour support has made it possible for my students to experience math in a way that is engaging, accessible, and developmentally appropriate. On behalf of my students and our school community, thank you for believing in the importance of hands-on learning and for investing in the success of children who need it most. Your generosity is truly making a difference every single day.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nJust tell me the vibe 💛","fullyFundedDate":1767165826986,"projectUrl":"project/building-bright-math-minds-with-magna-ti/9737075/","projectTitle":"Building Bright Math Minds with Magna-Tiles and More","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Zarzar","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10270302_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1767360261912","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10270302"},{"teacherId":1778455,"projectId":9500738,"letterContent":"My students enjoy choosing different activities, including the new Plato pens during our discovery buckets at the end of the day.
