My students are flying through their independent novel so that they can read Matilda next. My students read the BFG and are dying to read another book by the same author. In May I hope to surprise them with reader's theatre groups to celebrate this author in play performances. We have been using the multiplication, division, and social studies skills books as well to become ready for the next grade. The reproducible practice books you provided have made things more clear on tuff to understand concepts. Thanks again for providing much needed learning tools and materials. We are now becoming even more literate and calculation savvy. My students are active and still expected to perform in rigorous lessons, standards of learning, and a challenging curriculum in many areas of study daily. Thanks to you, I have more tools in my belt that can redirect choices, regain focus, reset a day, and get back to the business of learning. \r\n\r\nThanks to your generosity, time will be saved and our day is more positive. I can in a matter of seconds allow a student to touch a sensory wall rather than take a walk in the hall which wastes precious learning time to reset. Now for a quick brain break, students can at desks or tables take a sensory walk and touch \"all the mats before sitting down\" to transition seamlessly from reading to math or reteach time to science. Students can in class do a physical walk then sit on tile. If a student is feeling strong feelings, I can give them a tool by allowing them to choose a distracting sensory fidget to reset their day. You are the best. I have so much gratitude for the empowering tools gifted.","fullyFundedDate":1741840824604,"projectUrl":"project/sensory-walls-paths-and-stations-have/9151016/","projectTitle":"Sensory Walls, Paths, and Stations Have Us Going Places!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Escarcega","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8381382_orig.jpg?crop=739,739,x0,y46&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1647559248414","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8381382"},{"teacherId":8381382,"projectId":8983751,"letterContent":"Through your generosity, my students received many much needed materials. Some major items they received were engineering materials such as a marble runs. My students practiced with he kits and then built htier own. When making marble runs we studied stored energy and kinetic energy as well as going through the scientific process of collecting data, making claims, testing the claims, and then recreating models that can meet the designer's vision.\r\nAnother great thing we got were materials! We got two new easels so that the teacher can do work with students whether in small group or in whole group or be taught in a group setting for math or reading skills. Another material item were practice books to spiral or accelerate concepts in math, reading, social studies, or writing. All of these itmes are going to great use and write helpful.\r\nOrganization and art supplies have been a big help as well. Students are thriving with the class set of colored pencils- we use them weekly on math or reading comprehension projects. We shall use the pint and clay in an upcoming Native American tribe reading unit. As you can see, these items were much needed and greatly appreciated.
