The new resources have helped me build a classroom environment where students feel excited, comfortable, and ready to learn each day. We've been using the materials during morning meetings, small group instruction, and brain breaks to strengthen community and keep engagement high. One special moment was watching students work together during a collaborative activity, encouraging one another and celebrating small wins. The joy in the room was undeniable, and it created a positive tone that carried into our academic lessons.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the new materials, they were immediately curious and eager to try everything. Their excitement reminded me how powerful simple moments of joy can be in a classroom. Even students who are typically quiet or reserved became more involved and confident. These resources have helped create a space where every child feels included and valued.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, we will continue using these materials to support both academic growth and social-emotional learning. Our next step is incorporating them into a team-based project where students will collaborate, problem-solve, and reflect on their learning together. Your support has helped create meaningful experiences that my students will remember long after this school year ends. We are using the new hands-on resources during math and literacy centers to strengthen critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. One of my favorite moments was watching a small group work together to solve a challenging math puzzle using manipulatives. Instead of giving up, they talked through strategies, tested ideas, and celebrated when they found the solution. The learning was active, meaningful, and filled with excitement.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the new materials, their eyes lit up. They immediately wanted to explore, build, and create. Even some of my more hesitant learners jumped right in. Because the resources are interactive and playful, students feel less pressure and more confidence while practicing important academic skills. They don't even realize how much they are learning because they are so engaged.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to continue incorporating these materials into small group instruction and project-based learning. We are beginning a collaborative design challenge where students will apply math, reading, and problem-solving skills to create and present their own solutions to a real-world scenario. Your support has given my students the tools to think creatively, work together, and grow as confident learners.","fullyFundedDate":1771960261683,"projectUrl":"project/brain-boosters-learning-through-play-an/10081094/","projectTitle":"Brain Boosters: Learning Through Play and Discovery","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Moore","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10360902_orig.jpg?crop=240,240,x0,y68&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1764096722110","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10360902"},{"teacherId":10360902,"projectId":10068726,"letterContent":"Our Illuminating STEAM Glow Party for the 100th Day of School was more than just a celebration — it was an immersive learning experience! In our classroom we use tech to make learning interactive, hands-on, and meaningful. During our glow-themed math and literacy stations, students used digital timers, interactive slides, and visual displays to guide challenges like building 100-piece creations, solving 100 math problems in teams, and completing glow-in-the-dark word hunts. The technology helped keep students engaged, organized, and excited while reinforcing real academic skills.\r\n\r\nWhat excited students most was seeing their learning literally \"light up.\" Writing spelling words in neon, counting collections under blacklights, and completing 100th-day challenges in a glowing classroom made math and reading feel magical. The glow element transformed routine practice into something unforgettable.\r\n\r\nSome of my more reluctant learners especially thrived during this event. Students who sometimes struggle with focus were completely engaged, working collaboratively and proudly sharing their accomplishments. The combination of movement, teamwork, hands-on activities, and glowing visuals created a learning environment where every child felt successful.","fullyFundedDate":1770043450861,"projectUrl":"project/illuminating-steam-a-glow-based-experie/10068726/","projectTitle":"Illuminating STEAM: A Glow-Based Experiential Learning Project","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Moore","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10360902_orig.jpg?crop=240,240,x0,y68&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1764096722110","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10360902"},{"teacherId":3748527,"projectId":9785736,"letterContent":"The students have been absolutely loving their new desks! It has been so wonderful to have desks large enough for the fifth graders, where they can sit comfortably and be able to store their bags and supplies under their desks. And even though they are taller and wider than our old desks, they are light and easy to move around the classroom. My room is also used for multi grade activities, and so we have had many students from all over the school that have been able to use and enjoy the new and sturdy desks.\r\nEven teachers were able to use them during a training, and our class was the envy of the faculty that day! The paper trimmer and laminator allow me to create durable, reusable learning materials that support hands-on practice—especially important for my students, who benefit from visual and tactile learning. We are using the magnetic ten-frame sets during math small groups to build number sense, practice addition and subtraction, and strengthen foundational skills in a way that feels fun and approachable.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the new materials, their excitement was immediate. They were especially eager to use the ten frames and counters and couldn't wait to try the UNO cards, which we now use to reinforce number recognition, color matching, and strategic thinking during math centers and indoor recess. Seeing their enthusiasm reminded me just how powerful the right tools can be in building confidence and engagement.\r\n\r\nThanks to your support, our next steps include expanding small-group instruction and rotating hands-on centers that allow students to practice skills at their own pace.
