Students collaborated to solve problems, encouraged one another after unsuccessful launches, and celebrated each success together. Your generosity gave our students the opportunity to explore science in a way that was exciting, interactive, and memorable.\r\n\r\nWe split our rocket unit into two major sections. During the first part of the unit, students focused on rocket design, aerodynamics, and shape. They experimented with how different fins, body styles, and weights could impact the rocket's flight path, stability, and distance. Watching students problem-solve and redesign their rockets after each launch was incredible. One of the most exciting classroom moments was seeing students compare two rockets with completely different designs and predict which one would fly higher before testing them outside. The excitement and cheering after each launch made learning feel real for them.\r\n\r\nThe second section of the unit focused on pressure and fuel. Students learned how ratios of air to water affected the rocket's launch power and flight performance. We incorporated math throughout the lessons as students measured, calculated, and tested different combinations to determine the most effective ratios. It was amazing to see students connect math and science concepts through hands-on experimentation instead of just worksheets or lectures.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, the classroom immediately filled with excitement and curiosity. Many students had never worked with rockets before, and simply seeing the launch equipment sparked countless questions and ideas. They were eager to build, test, and improve their designs from the very first day.\r\n\r\nThank you again for helping create an unforgettable learning experience for our students.
