Being able to build a solar car and take it outside and drive it down the sidewalk gave a great deal of joy and satisfaction to my students. \r\n\r\nStudents have used the balancing equations manipulatives in order to concretely understand how chemical equations work. Their understanding of the law of conservation of mass has been cemented as well\r\n\r\nIn exploring electicity, the snap circuits kit has been extremely helpful fo students to visualize how circuits work. \r\n\r\nThese resources have been invaluable both for mainstream students and those with special needs. I have struggled with incorporating the critical issue of climate change into my curriculum, and these books are helping to build background knowledge for my students.\r\n\r\nWe are using the books as a reference to help inform a renewable energy project. These books are a perfect addition to research on our project. Students are required to briefly explain climate change and include the impact of a renewable energy source on climate change.\r\n\r\nThe students are very excited to have this wide variety of literature on the subject. They will be able to draw their own conclusions about climate change and become better-informed global citizens.
