With joy and gladness they have taken quite the liking to having their new set of Conga drums. With each new piece of music centered in the heart of Africa and/or one of the Latin countries, they are eager to get to the Congas. Upon first seeing these materials, my students were fascinated and wanted to play them right away; yet, I had to take the time to teach them how to properly play them so as to not damage them. \r\n\r\nNow with this information in their grasp, these students feel that they are better than ever with their newest instruments that belong to the school. They immediately began using the wrenches, gears, and voltmeters. They use these supplies on a daily basis, and future students will continue to use them for years to come.\r\n\r\nThus far, our students have assembled robots that can push ping-pong balls, pick up blocks, and drive in all directions. Our maker space is a popular location when visitors are touring the school. Our elementary grade students are often in awe when they enter the room for the first time.
