Due to a tragic event our community faced, this book became the focal point of my literary classrooms. These items were not wasted. They were used throughout the year and made the writing classroom fun. \r\n\r\nThese materials were used to provided students with step by step writing processes to better understand how to create paragraphs and essays. Students also used these materials for fun writing prompts. The students used them as anchor charts and reference points during discussions and other activities. They also helped to make the classroom look like a fun learning place. \r\n\r\nStudents referred to the ancient civilization posters multiple times through 2 units within the year. They proved to be a positive discussion started on more than one occasion. \r\n\r\nThroughout the literacy units, the students loved being able to point out the various terms and genres on the wall.
